On December 6, 2022, a networking meeting was held at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland as part of the SMART4FUTURE project for staff, students, PhD students and all those interested in innovations.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of companies, non-governmental organisations and institutions supporting the socio-economic environment.
The aim of the event was to integrate science and innovations, local authorities and business and to create conditions for joint learning, exchange of experience and cooperation of environments based on the knowledge of our partners. During the event, a lecture on patenting innovations was given by Anna Bełz – Patent Attorney of Lublin Medical University.
During the lecture she covered the following topics:
- What is patenting?
- How to determine the prior art for an innovative solution?
- How to evaluate an invention in terms of its patentability?
- What to look for in the description of an innovation to obtain patent protection?
The event was very well attended, not only by students, academic and non-academic staff, but also by business representatives and representatives of organisations and institutions with a socio-economic environment.
