The third project meeting of the SMART4FUTURE initiative took place on May 14 and 15, 2024 in the vibrant city of Naples, Italy. It was hosted by the prestigious University of Naples “Federico II”. The event brought the project partners together to share their successes, address challenges and outline future plans.

Day 1

The first day began with a warm welcome from the host and a short introductory speech. Representatives from Algebra University presented the meeting schedule and objectives, setting the stage for an insightful and productive meeting. Algebra University opened the main agenda with a detailed presentation of SMART4FUTURE program statistics. This session provided valuable insight into participant engagement and program effectiveness. Following this, a dynamic workshop focused on strategies to attract more participants to the initiatives, resulting in lively discussions and innovative ideas.

In the afternoon, the Link Group presented the preliminary results of the project, highlighting key achievements and identifying areas for improvement. This was followed by a workshop on best practices for building a solid triangle between academia and industry that fosters collaboration between academia, industry and government.
MentorTec concluded the day with a summary of dissemination activities and emphasized the importance of strategic communication to maximize the impact of the project.

Day 2

The second day began with an impressive presentation from the University of Naples on the tools and mechanisms for measuring the impact of the SMART4FUTURE project. This session emphasized the importance of creating lasting value in local and regional ecosystems.

A subsequent workshop focused on selecting the most effective impact measurement tools to enable partners to adapt their strategies for optimal results. Algebra University then led a discussion on reporting for 2024 to ensure all partners are prepared for the milestones ahead.
The meeting concluded with a comprehensive summary of next steps and future plans that outlined the way forward for the SMART4FUTURE project.
